Whenever someone enters into our life and adds colors and a zing to the present life style, our heart gets filled with elation, we complain why this person did not come earlier? And at the same time we thank our luck for the wonderful gift. Now when the same person gets ready to depart from life, we feel cursed, broken, and lonely. This is nothing new, all natural. We again start complaining that if this person was destined to go, why he/she came and we are left with no answers except a blank in the mind. Read on to know the reason. Well as per my experience and observation so far, everyone comes into your life for a reason and when that reason gets accomplished, the person leaves. We remember the sudden changes that took place around us when the loving person departed but same sort of situation and scene was created around us when that special someone entered in. Following human behavior, we remember what bad has happened and we easily forget the good ones. For example, if you take lift from an office mate more than often and he too doesn’t mind dropping you but one day the [...]

- by pecificcreation 02 Jul 2008 Karma and Destiny, these to concepts always appeared as most contradictory to me. I always was confused, which has precedence over other. People say that what ever happens is the prewritten and this is destiny which is inevitable. Be it good or bad, nothing matters in front of destiny. On the other hand Karma is told to be the only way out to get things done and one can attain literally any thing by the virtue of Karma. Now hearing both the versions, I was confused whether I should rely upon destiny which is certain like evening and morning or should I rely upon Karma, which should take me to my destination. But dilemma is, if I do Karma for something which is not in my destiny, where that effort would go? And my Karma should yield me no results for all my endeavours. Then I must put my efforts only where my destiny has plans for me, but How would I know that way, as destiny only has a past record but doesn’t offer any clue for the future. To understand all this, I am sharing my view point with you. In [...]

In today’s terms, human brain can be compared with a typical computer’s central processing unit. IT carries out all the same tasks that a CPU does for a computer including controlling, managing, and making optimum use of available resources. Now such a vital part and no one pays any attention towards its servicing or simply put, maintenance. This article tells about the life style that not only helps keeping brain in best condition but also informs about the nourishment of this vital and top most body part. First of all the schedule of the day must be very correct. Making most of this human machine is important but equally important is giving it due rest. This is why one should go to bed in time and ensure a sound sleep between 6 to 8 hours before waking up next morning. A sound sleep not just means a complete rest to the body but also recharging the senses. As per studies, brain cells rejuvenate themselves while human body is asleep. So sleep should be given due importance and for that the bed room should be calm and cool. Fresh air, dim light, and fragranced ambience are few to name. Similarly one [...]

by Prashant Published 01 Jul 2008 I recently finished my basic course of Art of Living (AOL) and believe me, I feel as if I have re born in this world. Merely few hours of training has leaded my life to a completely new way where I can afford to maintain a constant and unconditional smile on my face. To be frank, I was never interested in such a course, like millions of people around the world, I thought it would be a spiritual kind of lecture but it proved to be completely different and incredible experience, Thanks to Titeeksha Sharma, and Amita Bhatt, my two very close friends who pulled me on the way of self recognition. Exemplary demonstration of true human value was the real attraction. The mentor explained every concept quoting daily life examples in very simple words. These values are nothing new, in fact we have been learning to adopt them since early childhood but like most of the good things, we never paid any attention towards them. For example we easily tell a lie to get out of any predicament, but we never think that it might have a wide direct or indirect effect over others who [...]

by Prashant Shrivastava Written – 28 June, 2008 Addiction is the term which is given to some habit of ours on which we have complete reliance. If that thing is removed from our routine, we will struggle badly. Now how much do we struggle depends upon the level of addiction we have developed. There exist many methods and so called medicines that claim to set you free of any addiction, but if you ask me whether any such help can help you out, my answer would be a clear NO. Think it this way that did we develop the addiction with any help; the answer would be NO again. Then why not try to get rid of it without any help? Why not try something very simple? The addiction is nothing but a state of our mind when we start believing that we can not live without something. The same was mine case; I started believing that I can not work properly unless I consume several cups of tea a day. Well addiction of tea is not as disgusting as that of tobacco or alcohol; still I wanted to know whether I can quit it? To start with, [...]

by Prashant Shrivastava Written – 27 Jun 2008 Last season of Indian Premiere League (IPL) was a thrilling experience for all. The cricket format, star association with teams and lot of unexpected results made this a sensational tournament. For the first time in the history of cricket, players from all teams flocked for a truly professional cricket. Although every one including foreign players and their team owners made lot of money, the real advantage was realized by the Indians. Many minors sprung up as more sensible yet explosive option for future India team and that’s what we saw in the team selection for one day internationals. Senior player likes of Ganguly and Dravid were forced to take rest and young blood was given opportunity to prove their mettle. I fairly think that Greg chapel was looking for similar combination where young Indians could get a chance to rise up to the occasion. Today the team that we see on cards is again a very powerful team which has been a consistent feature of Indian cricket but what keeps me into elation is the enthusiasm of this new brigade to live up to expectations. Earlier you could have switched [...]
